Graphic Designer Dean discusses why Galli Epona is one of his favourite designs of this collection.

I have a special love for the ancient world, a time when people’s understanding of the world was a mystery and natural phenomena were attributed to the acts of a pantheon of gods and goddesses.

Epona was a Celtic goddess of fertility, as well as the protector of horses, ponies, donkeys, and mules. When the Romans absorbed the Celtic Gauls into their growing empire, Epona became the only Gaulish deity to be adopted and its worship would later spread across the whole of the Roman world.

Galli Epona is an organic design that was created to convey a sense of power from the natural world. Coupled with a soft colour palette, this graphic features stylised soil and plant life to communicate a relaxing palette.
