IVY SUITE REFURBISHMENT

BADGE FOR ST JOHN OF GOD SUBIACO HOSPITAL

THE BRIEF

BADGE commissioned Discus to deliver window graphics required for the refurbishment and expansion of St John of God Subiaco Hospital’s Ivy Suite.

The expansion of Ivy Suite makes it the the largest day chemotherapy unit in Western Australia and is part of the hospital’s $16 million refurbishment for which Discus delivered a range of graphic solutions. You can read more here.

A window graphic treatment was required for the Suite’s glazing to add to the aesthetics of the space and enhance the patient experience while also creating privacy to the chemotherapy bays.

WHAT WE DELIVERED

After a site measure of the areas, we organised printed samples to ensure the recommended products met the brief requirements for sign-off by the project architect Silver Thomas Hanley.

We used a quality optically clear vinyl using white ink and warm grey to print St John of God’s pomegranate corporate design installed to the interior windows of Ivy Suite.

To create added privacy to the glass partitions of the chemotherapy bays we used a quality dusted film with white ink and mirror bleed-through of the pomegranate design.

All products used are suitable for high traffic commercial areas where durability and longevity are required, while also meeting strict clinical-grade requirements.

We worked to the building project timeline, ensuring we delivered on time and within budget for handover.

THE RESULT

The new window graphics in Ivy Suite add to the greater environment to make a comfortable and tranquil space for patients and their families and friends.

Importantly, the graphics provide privacy while at the same time allowing natural light into the Suite.
