RENASCENT FOR DMIRS

MINERAL HOUSE OFFICE SIGNAGE

THE BRIEF

Discus was engaged by builder Renascent for the supply and install of glazing film and signage as part of a refurbishment on level 3 of Mineral House (Department of Mines Industry Regulation and Safety).

The window film requirements were to achieve privacy and meet building safety guidelines, and an acrylic sign was needed for wayfinding purposes.

A graphic from the Discus Design Studio online design library was utilised in the project.

WHAT WE DELIVERED

Discus delivered a complete design, production and installation service following the initial site measure.

Project architect MKDC selected design Squadrus in colourway Teal from the Discus environmental graphics library.

The design pays homage to the squad ruler in a series of geometric shapes formed by lines cutting triangles.

Printed to dusted glazing film, the design provides privacy to four offices while adding colour into the space.

We also installed unprinted dusted glazing films bands to other offices, matching the Department’s existing film.

We produced an acrylic signage panel and installed it within a recess of the feature batten wall cladding at the entrance to the 3rd floor.

THE RESULT

All graphics and signage items have been produced and installed to a high standard with the printed glazing films being a standout.

The Squadrus dusted glazing film provides privacy while also injecting colour to the 3rd floor office space.

Being able to select a ready-to-go graphic from the discus online design library provided a seamless process for the client, builder and architect.

All parties are extremely happy with the end result.
