THE BRIEF
Silver Thomas Hanley specified Discus for the design, print and installation of wall graphics and glazing films for the new state-of-the-art Endoscopy Suite at Hollywood Private Hospital.
The Endoscopy Suite, located in the hospital’s new Consulting Centre, features 17 bed bays and 4 procedure rooms. Fourteen private discharge pods are modelled on an airport lounge where patients can complete their recovery post procedure.
An important consideration was the use of clinical grade vinyls appropriate for the hospital procedural environment.
Our design brief was to use imagery of WA native trees to create the feeling of travelling through a forest when walking through the Suite.
WHAT WE DELIVERED
We worked closely with project architect Silver Thomas Hanley to ensure their design vision was realised. Our design studio sourced and selected imagery for the wall and window graphics. The studio provided concepts, to-scale samples and proofs for architect approval prior to production.
We produced the graphics on our clinical grade self-adhesive vinyls and glazing films. The wall graphics which line the corridor walkway have been designed and produced in full colour. The window graphics have been designed in grey-scale form and produced on dusted film to create a more subtle effect while also achieving privacy.
We also worked closely with project builder Georgiou and contractor Mandurah Painters and Decorators where our team installed all graphics inline with the construction programme.
THE RESULT
The wall and window graphics are an important element in the ultra modern facility. They complement the Suite’s décor and design in creating a natural and tranquil environment to make for a positive patient experience.
