THE BRIEF
FRINGE WORLD is the largest annual event in Western Australia and the third largest Fringe in the world.
For the fifth year, Discus is proud to have been the signage supplier of FRINGE WORLD in 2018.
Our brief was to provide signage solutions that support delivering a massive program of events, across multiple locations, reaching a huge audience.
A new look for the 2018 festival meant rolling out a new suite of signs to cover all event touchpoints.
WHAT WE DELIVERED
Every year FRINGE WORLD evolves to be bigger and better than the previous, requiring us to implement fastidious project management, respond quickly to changing requirements, and deliver products of a high standard.
Understanding the tight timeframes associated with events, our team often processed a same day turnaround.
Our sign services installation team worked around the clock to ensure that all signage requirements were delivered for event deadlines.
While we produced hundreds of signs for the event, one of the showstoppers was the ARTRAGE building wrap. The installation of the vinyl banner was challenging due to the location on busy Roe Street and the application had to be well planned as to not compromise the heritage building. The building wrap launched the 2018 festival with a bang — creating an impact and awareness.
Unique to previous years, were the pre-paid ticket booth machines. Our team fabricated, printed and installed ten self-service machines that allowed patrons who purchased their tickets online to print at the venue. This functional solution was delivered in a well presented, clever package.
THE RESULT
FRINGE WORLD 2018 was another successful festival of events that help enrich the creative arts culture in WA.
The signage played an important role in the overall experience of thousands of event attendees.
Our client was happy with another successful year entrusting Discus to deliver their signage needs.
