CHRISTIAN BROTHERS COLLEGE FITOUT
THE BRIEF
As part of a refurbishment for Christian Brothers College in Fremantle, SITE Architecture Studio and Crothers Construction engaged Discus to deliver window graphics and statutory signage.
The window graphics were needed for both decorative and building safety requirements spanning across six classrooms and an office.
An environmental graphic from the Discus Design Studio online design library was utilised in the project.
WHAT WE DELIVERED
We worked collaboratively with the project architect and construction company to ensure a great result for the client.
SITE Architecture Studio selected environmental graphic Fjord from the discus design library.
Fjord is inspired by the winding inlets created by glaciers in the Scandinavian mountain ranges that were used as waterways by the Norsemen during the Viking Age.
Our design studio created a custom colourway specific for the project.
Shop drawings of the window and room name graphics and a full-scale printed sample installed on site were all provided for client sign off prior to production.
Fjord was printed to optically clear window film to add a subtle decorative element to the space.
We also produced and installed a series of statutory signs.
From the time of site measure to install we provided a quick turnaround inline with client handover.
THE RESULT
The Fjord optically clear window graphics add a subtle decorative element to the education space while also meeting building safety requirements.
Being able to select a ready-to-go graphic from the discus online design library provided a seamless process for the client, builder and architect.
All parties are ecstatic with the final result.
